Rainfall increase due to Global Warming

The events of heavy rainfall has set new records in the past thirty years. Before 1980, there was a big fluctuation in extreme rainfall events due to the explanation of natural variability.  A team of scientists found a trend in the past few decades of unpredictable events of daily rainfall.
A possible solution to increased rainfall would be to minimize the use of objects that can increase global warming. We could use energy sufficient objects that reduce the amount of carbon released in the atmosphere.  We continue to use coal, oil, and natural gas for energy, and we also cut down trees for more usage for the population. As we continue to do this, the carbon accumulates in the atmosphere, which causes global warming. The more information we give to the population about what is happening, the more of a chance the people would want to help make a change.
Possible barriers to this solution is that energy sufficient objects cost a lot of money, which our country doesn't have to spend on this.  With giving information to the population, there will always be people who are against it or who don't care.
Personally I feel that telling the population about the problem will not be a solution, because we don't need to tell people about the problem, we need to act on it and make it happen. I feel that using energy sufficient objects will help our environment, it's just the matter of having the money to pay for them.

  1. Solutions- Education

Most people don't see a fluctuation in rainfall as a problem. I know I didn't when I first read the article. Since they don't think that this is a problem, people aren't thinking of solutions. A major part of fixing the fluctuating rainfall is to educate people. Properly educating people is a huge part of fixing many environmental issues that occur worldwide. It's unfair to expect people to fix the problems that are going on if we don't give them the information they need.

  2. I agree with Emily. I never thought that fluctuation of rainfall like this would be a problem. As Emily said, we should educate people on this topic. This is yet another reason of how climate change effects us in ways people don't see as a problem.
