Extreme Weather Events Fuel Climate Change
During 2003 in Central and Southern Europe got caught in a heatwave that made researchers go crazy. It was a huge weather event and many scientists were able to catch how much heat and drought affected the carbon cycle. Many years past plants and the dirt have consumed 30% of carbon dioxide that humans set lose, more as like fossil fuels. This could cause our environment to be less than it should be. We need to preserve and make sure that if there is another heatwave like this we need to be ready. It is not easy to know when they are coming but during the summer time it is most likely when it will happen. If we continue to keep our eyes opened and know what to do to protect our world our environment will see results.

We do need to make a bigger effort in keeping an eye on climate changes and their impacts on the environment. In the past, scientists did not realize what a drastic impact extreme weather conditions could have on the environment, but now, because of the study you mentioned and similar studies, they are beginning to realize that events such as droughts can cause further problems. They particularly affect the vegetation. Droughts can “reduce the amount of carbon absorbed by forests, meadows and agricultural land” thus increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Like you said, we need to make attempts to “protect our world and environment.”
